HyperStrat Expands HYPE Buying Power to $2.5 Billion | Without a bank

HyperStrat is expanding its capital facility from $1 billion to $2.5 billion, giving treasury company HYPE more firepower to continue accumulating tokens.

Yesterday, Hyperliquid Strategies announced that it was giving itself an additional $1.5 billion in potential firepower to continue accumulating HYPE (its core strategy) after nearly exhausting its original equity.

What’s the scoop?

  • More HYPE purchasing power: Hyperliquid Strategies (PURR) expanded its capital facility from $1 billion to $2.5 billion. The facility allows HyperStrat to sell newly issued PURR shares for cash, which it can then use to purchase more HYPE. David Schamis, CEO said on Twitter that the company was already close to reaching the initial limit of $1 billion.
  • I already implement it: As of August 19, HyperStrat had raised $646.6 million through the facility and deployed $773.4 million to purchase approximately 16.5 million HYPE, bringing its total cash to 29.3 million HYPE.
  • PURR performance: PURR also ripped, reaching a over $14 last weekup more than 100% since the end of July.
  • Income beyond HYPE earnings: HyperStrat is also putting its cash flow to good use, putting almost all of its HYPE into play. So far in 2026 it has been generated $9.5 million from staking and validator fees, as well as $2.7 million in interest income. Its much larger net profit of $305.5 million was mainly due to $709.9 million in unrealized HYPE gains, rather than recurring revenue.
