Pump.fun claims that its own crosschain route reduces purchasing errors by 92% and cuts typical purchase times in half compared to Relay, the rival provider that Fomo still uses.
Pump.fun has made a pump bridge the default route for crosschain transactions in its app, replacing Relay and claims Purchases 2 times faster, much fewer errors and better fillings than the supplier on which its rival Fomo still relies.
What’s the scoop?
-
Face to face: Pump.fun states that in an in-app randomized test run from September 28 to October 7 on Robinhood Chain, BSC, Base, Arc and Ink, the typical purchase landed in 1.95 s on Pump Bridge compared to 3.88 s on Relay, and buy mistakes fell from 11.2% to 0.9%.
-
The fine print: Pump.fun claims that the gap between the spot price and the tokens received is ~17% smaller on its deck, but its own footnote shows that the median purchase still landed 3.0% below the app’s spot price, compared to 3.6% on Relay. It also says Pump Bridge currently not charging additional transition fees.
-
Where are the jobs located: Pump.fun is self-published speed data shows that Robinhood Chain accounted for about 53% of the 383,326 timed trades and BSC about 39%, a reminder that Robinhood Chain’s memecoin meta drives much of the app’s crosschain flow.
-
Shots fired in Fomo: The co-founder has already framed the launch in an article titled “How your social trading app stole from you.“, touting Pump.fun’s 0.45% platform fee as the lowest of any social trading app. It’s the latest volley in the Pump vs. Fomo rivalry, days after Pump.fun added Hyperliquid perps. Relay and Fomo had not responded publicly as of Wednesday evening.
