trade(XYZ) launches Events on Hyperliquid via HIP-4, bringing together outcomes markets for finance, sports, politics and more into a single unified account.
Trade(XYZ), the lead deployer of HIP-3, has officially launched Events, its HIP-4 deployment on Hyperliquide, expanding beyond its offerings, moving from perpetual stocks only to “outcome” contracts, equivalent to prediction markets.
What’s the scoop?
- The events are posted online: Early markets include Up/Down contracts on stocks, commodities and pre-IPO companies, as well as sports markets like picking the winner of a US Open match.
- HIP-3 becomes the resolution layer: For its initial financial markets, Trade(XYZ) uses prices from its existing HIP-3 perpetual markets to resolve its HIP-4 contracts, rather than relying on a separate external resolution oracle. This means that a market, depending on whether SK Hynix finishes above a certain price, for example, can be satisfied with the continuously traded values. XYZ SK Hynix criminal.
- Towards universal exchange: The main idea is to combine Hyperliquid’s growing set of primitives under one roof. As Trade (XYZ) says, a user could potentially deposit BTC spot, borrow USDC via wallet margin, trade a pre-IPO SpaceX perp, hedge an SK Hynix earnings event, and bet on a US Open winner from the same account. The margin of the Hyperliquide portfolio already unifies spot and perp guaranteeswhile HIP-4 adds outcomes markets to this stack.
Presentation of events by profession (XYZ).
With Events, we are advancing our vision of Hyperliquid as a universal exchange: a single, composable system for trading financial assets and real-world outcomes.
