After the sudden market recovery, spotting a popular altcoin still stuck in the red on a weekly scale has become increasingly difficult. Fortunately for investors and ADA supporters, the asset is not one of them, posting a solid 28% gain during the period.
We asked three of the most widely used AI chatbots to assess whether the rise could continue in the coming months and whether a move towards $1 was possible before the end of 2026. Here are the answers.
Yes, but…
As of this writing, ADA is trading at around $0.22, but ChatGPT noted that the asset has already surpassed the $1 mark, so a potential rise before New Year’s Eve would not be unprecedented. However, the OpenAI platform warned that such an increase would require an exceptional market-wide rally, sustained growth in Cardano user numbers, DeFi activity, and overall ecosystem development.
“The immediate challenge is to prove that this move is more than a relief rally. ADA should first recover and hold above the increasingly difficult areas around $0.30, $0.50, and its 52-week highs before $1 become a credible target,” ChatGPT added.
Perplexity shares a similar thesis, saying a rise to $1 is theoretically possible but would depend on “an exceptional confluence of catalysts and a very strong altcoin/bull market.”
He paid particular attention to the $0.22 to $0.24 range, saying a decisive breakout and close above could open the door for a more substantial move north. More importantly, Perplexity argued that ADA’s potential success would depend on the strength of Bitcoin.
“If BTC hits new highs and liquidity rotates aggressively toward large-cap alternative assets, ADA can outperform,” he said.
The leading cryptocurrency has been booming lately, with its valuation nearing $80,000 after a 25% weekly rise. It remains to be seen whether the rally will continue in the following days and whether it will actually benefit altcoins like Cardano’s native token.
Additionally, Perplexity highlighted the potential launch of an ADA spot ETF as another major catalyst that could positively impact the price. Nonetheless, Grayscale recently withdrew its filing for such a product, casting doubt on whether a financial vehicle of this type will see the light of day this year.
Not in 2026?
Google’s Gemini was more pessimistic, predicting that an ADA rise to $1 is more likely next year than in the remaining months of 2026. He asserted that most capital remains concentrated in top cryptocurrencies like BTC and ETH and expects greater interest in other assets next year, when a new season becomes more plausible.
“Crypto capital moves like a waterfall: money enters Bitcoin from the top, and only once Bitcoin hits its cap and stabilizes do investors move their profits to riskier altcoins like Cardano. Because this multi-stage profit rotation takes a long time to build, 2027 provides a much more realistic timeline for this capital to turn into coins like ADA,” the chatbot concluded.
