Bitcoin is trading below $84,000 after failing to continue its latest push towards the $90,000 region. While the overall structure remains constructive, the latest pullback and weakening futures activity suggest that BTC may need to consolidate before attempting another breakout.
Bitcoin price analysis: the daily chart
The daily chart shows significant structural improvement over the past few months. BTC has reclaimed the 100 and 200 day moving averages, currently positioned around $72,000. The two averages have also converged, with the short-term average becoming higher. This bullish crossover could potentially further strengthen the long-term trend.
At the same time, the price also decisively surpassed the $75,000 area, which now represents a significant demand area. Maintaining this region would keep the broader sequence of higher lows intact and preserve the bullish recovery structure. However, a deeper correction towards $70,000 would still leave the broader trend relatively constructive, although losing this area would significantly weaken the pattern.
On the positive side, BTC is facing a significant supply zone around $88,000. The market has repeatedly struggled to establish a daily close above this region. But a convincing breakout would expose the next major resistance zone around $96,000.
The dynamic also remains positive but has slowed down. The daily RSI is still above the neutral 50 level while leaving considerable room before reaching overbought territory. This suggests that the market is not yet displaying the type of momentum exhaustion typically associated with a major top.

BTC/USDT 4-hour chart
The 4-hour chart presents a more conservative picture. BTC has established an ascending triangle pattern from September lows, with several successful tests strengthening the structure. However, the price is now below this trendline and has fallen to $84,000.
The immediate area around $84,000 is therefore important. If buyers reclaim this area and reestablish the broken trendline, the recent decline could prove to be just a temporary upset. In this scenario, BTC could retest the $88,000 resistance zone and potentially challenge a valid breakout again.
Conversely, a sustained move below $84,000 would increase the likelihood of a deeper correction towards the $75,000-$78,000 region. This area coincides with the previous breakout and should be considered the first major support below the current range.
The 4-hour RSI has also fallen sharply to around 38, showing that the short-term momentum has deteriorated and is approaching oversold territory. This could allow for a relief bounce, but the RSI alone does not confirm a reversal.

Sentiment analysis
The buy/sell ratio of takers is a notable warning sign. The measure compares aggressive market buying with aggressive market selling, with readings above 1 indicating that taker buying is dominant and readings below 1 suggesting that sellers are more aggressive.
The latest figure fell below 1 and is around 0.994, down significantly from its September highs. This indicates that aggressive buying pressure weakened as BTC headed towards the $88,000 resistance zone.
More importantly, the takers’ buy/sell ratio has been trending downward since its August peak, even though Bitcoin remains relatively high. This divergence suggests that the latest advance was not accompanied by aggressive and steadily increasing futures demand.
This does not necessarily imply an immediate bearish reversal. However, this makes a clear break above $88,000 less compelling unless the metric begins to recover. A further move above 1 in the taker ratio, alongside a price breakout, would provide stronger confirmation that buyers are regaining control.
